Branson Visitor Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Wednesday, December 13, 2017

Summer Winds Resorts, LLC revealed their newest addition on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. A ribbon cutting ceremony for The Branson Visitor Center, located on the corner of Highway 76 and Highway 65, was held at 3pm for the public. It stands as a welcome to all who visit Branson.

The Visitor Center is home of Branson's newest icon, the 'I Heart Branson' sign. The 15' x 20' sign has already received plenty of attention, quickly becoming a favorite spot for selfies and Instagram posts in Branson.

Pat Joyce, of Summer Winds Resorts, greeted those in attendance. "I would like to thank the city of Branson, the Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Best along with everybody who supported us in this project. We are going to continue finishing out this project. This building is only one fourth completed as far as what is going to be in this facility. There will be a cafe which we will begin working on during the first quarter."

"I would like to thank my partners Rich Dowdell and Darren Abbott, they are the creative guys - the vision and construction guys - who get this kind of stuff done. Finally I would like to thank the people of Branson for the privilege of doing business in this town."

Branson's mayor, Karen Best, also spoke at the ribbon cutting event. "This is the first thing that people see when they get off the highway from either North or South. What a lovely building for them to have to see and experience upon their arrival in Branson. We always want to make a great first impression, and let me tell you, you guys knocked it out of the park. I love it!"
